I was not deterred, so I went ahead and purchased it. This was during a period when retro carbon had a bad reputation especially with concerns of it falling apart. That was until I saw a Giant Cadex on Gumtree for $100. Even Chinese carbon was out of my reach at 17 years of age.
I wanted a carbon bike too, but I could not afford one. I have always had an interest in carbon fibre things.
